Climbing Knocknarea
On the third day straight of good weather we decided to climb Knocknarea in Sligo. There was no plan really, just climb it and maybe try and get a few photos up top. I had overdressed massively and ended up taking a hoody and jacket off nearly straight away… Good thing I had a massive camera bag to store them in. After the somewhat steep in places assent, we set about trying to find a spot for the sunset.
Finding A Spot
We took a walk around and decided to set up a bit away from the summit so we could get a view over Strandhill as the sun was setting in that direction. I think it was one of those spots where the place is nicer in person than it was on camera.

Time to Burn
As there was was time before the sun set, we started messing around with silhouettes and using each others cameras to create interesting compositions. I decided to use the viewfinder on the Nikon d7000 to good effect. We stuck around for some of ‘blue hour’ but not much seemed to be going on. There was a band of darkish cloud that stopped the horizon changing colour. Another day maybe.
