Exploring Mayo
After visiting Old Head Beach a week or two previously, we wanted to explore the other side of Louisburgh. Seeing that Roonagh Pier was on the Wild Atlantic Way we decided that we might chance going there. It was a scouting trip, but we got a great sunset, so it essentially turned into a photography trip. We went slightly away from the pier along the rocks. I hadn’t tried a long exposure in a while and thought one might look well here. I set about finding a composition I liked and put a 1000ND filter onto the lens. I set about taking several photos in one location and then changed the composition slightly for some more photos.
