Donkeys!

Out For a Drive

As we were driving around Clare, Corofin to be precise, looking for lakes, jetty’s and boats to photograph we happened upon a field with 7 or 8 friendly donkeys. They were very curious and wanted to take a closer look at the cameras. They were willing models for a few minutes until the novelty of it wore off and they went back to their usual donkey business. The images can be seen below.

This was one of my first times out using my new Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens. I must say I was very impressed. Pictures come out of the camera very sharp. I didn’t notice much distortion in the images. The f/1.8 lets you easily use a faster shutter speed (eg 1/1000 seconds) without having to boost the ISO thus allowing you keep noise to a minimum. I need to use the lens more hands on knowledge but it’s made a very solid first impression.
